JOB PURPOSE
A Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) at Renew360° will provide direct patient care and support to individuals with substance use and mental health challenges within a residential or detox facility. The core responsibilities include monitoring client behavior, assisting with daily routines, ensuring a safe environment, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
TIME COMMITMENT
Full time, in person onsite position, consisting of three 12 and a half hour shifts with weekends and holidays as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Client Support & Supervision:
- Provide direct, compassionate care and support to clients in a therapeutic environment.
- Monitor and document client behavior, mood, and physical condition, conducting regular wellness and safety checks.
- Assist clients with daily living activities (e.g., hygiene, meals) and encourage participation in the program.
- Oversee medication self-administration/monitoring and conduct necessary urinary analyses.
Treatment Implementation & Crisis Intervention:
- Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention plans developed by licensed professionals.
- Facilitate group sessions and milieu activities such as community meetings, life skills, and psychoeducation.
- Respond to crisis situations using de-escalation techniques and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Utilize behavior modification and motivational interviewing skills to teach desirable behaviors.
Documentation & Administration:
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, observations, and incident reports in an electronic medical record system.
- Assist with intake/admission and discharge processes, including client orientation and inventory of personal belongings.
- Drive clients in company vehicles to appointments or community activities as needed.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate effectively with clinical staff, nurses, doctors, and therapists to develop and adjust treatment plans.
- Attend mandatory staff meetings, supervision, and ongoing training sessions.

WORKING CONDITIONS
- Indoor environment (95%)
- Must wear required PPE and designated attire
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, and grasping
- Occasional twisting, squatting
- Repetitive motions and manual dexterity required
- Lift/carry up to 20 lbs frequently; push/pull 21–75 lbs occasionally
- Good hearing and vision required
- Must be able to drive as part of job duties
- Possible exposure to communicable diseases
- Business casual dress code with uniform provided by Renew360°.
REQUIREMENTS
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record (if required for transport duties).
- CPR/First Aid certification.
Preferred:
- At least 1 year of experience in a behavioral health, substance abuse, or mental health setting.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Knowledge of addiction and mental health issues

Compensation: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
